The Bessemer Area Chamber of Commerce has three major publications.

Bessemer Magazine is an annual publication that gives an overview of the Bessemer region. The magazine serves as a valuable source of information for local residents as well as people who are considering possible re-location to the area. The publication also includes a full listing of the current Chamber members.

The Communiqué is a monthly newsletter that is sent out to the Chamber members. The newsletter has up to date news, and information about the Bessemer area. It also features stories about recent events that the Chamber has participated in as well as information about upcoming events.

In June 2000, Research Strategies was commissioned by the Bessemer Chamber of Commerce to conduct a Wage and Salary Assessment Research Study. On June 13, 2000 there were approximately 160 solicitation letters sent to the Presidents, CEOs, Human Resources Offices, and/or Owners of the top companies in the Bessemer Area. Research Strategie's interviewers began the telephone interviewing process on June 19, 2000, and completed it on August 21, 2000. This study's methodology used in-depth, business-to-business interviews to query 111 businesses associated to the Retail, Commercial, and Industrial sectors. Research Strategie's wage/hourly data is weighted either by the number of companies participating and/or by the number of employees in each category.
