Farmers’ Markets should be your first stop when grocery shopping. Buying from a local farmers’ market guarantees you are getting the freshest and most nutrient-dense food available. That is why WaterMark Place will have its first ever Farmers’ Market beginning Saturday, June 5thfrom 7 am to 12 noon.
“Our Farmers’ will travel less than 100 miles and are supplying you with food that is native to Alabama”, says Anthony Underwood, Principal of WaterMark Place Center. Mr. Underwood goes on to say, “Not only are you supporting our local economy, Farmers, and agriculture, but you are cutting down on the environment damage that is caused by shipping produce thousands of miles across country.” There will be something for everyone. This includes cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and fun for the children. Visit Farmers from the region that produces vegetables, fruits, and flowers. Other featured items include eggs, baked breads, cakes, pies, cookies, spices and more. Bring the entire family! Current tenants at Watermark include Carter’s, Gap Outlet, Lane Bryant, L’eggs/Hanes/Bali/Playtex, Liz Claiborne, Nine West, OshKosh B’Gosh, Polo Ralph Lauren, Strasburg Children, and Tommy Hilfiger.
